Mr Thela brings a sizeable Gqom statement with INTSIKA (KING OF GQOM), a 20-track album arriving in 2026. Set for release on 30 October, the project opens with “Midnight Dream” before moving through a tracklist that balances solo cuts with a long list of confirmed collaborations.
The album’s early run includes “Anthem” featuring Shella Weh Mngani and Mel Bacela, “uMhleli Wami” with Boohle, and “Reintroduction”. Mr Thela then links up with Analoe on “Ndize Kanye Nkosi”, followed by the solo tracks “Above The Clouds” and “Top Deck”. The sequence gives the project plenty of room for both featured appearances and cuts credited to Mr Thela alone.
Several more collaborations shape the middle of the album. “uBumnandi” features Eemoh and Vanger Boyz, while “Cruel Combo” brings in Lakhe Cruel Boyz. “Impilo Emnandi” includes Pcee and Campmasters, and Eemoh returns on “Sisuka'Kude”. Mel Bacela also appears again on “Bawelile”.
The later stretch continues with “Khanya” featuring Borah RSA, Rhass, Lethu and Maleta, before “Funky Nights”, “Project 99” and “Dubane O'clock”. The closing run includes “uMtshato Lento” with Toolz Umazelaphi and Nkazie, “Soz'ubuye” featuring Sviej (Badlalele), “Departure” with Asambeni, and “Old Days” featuring UBizza Wethu.
With its full-length tracklist and wide range of credited guests, INTSIKA (KING OF GQOM) gives Gqom listeners plenty to explore when Mr Thela’s album arrives.
