Kwa-Zulu

Ujikelele brings a 12-track Maskandi album, Kwa-Zulu, into the 2026 release cycle with a tracklist that balances solo cuts and featured appearances. The album, released on 22 September 2026, opens with Dear Soka Lami before moving through a set of titles that includes Igolide, Abangani Bakho and the project’s title track, Kwa-Zulu.

The first collaboration arrives on Igolide, which features Mzukulu. Ujikelele also links up with Umfana Wekhansela on Wawubathathelani, while Inyosi Magwiny’ imbuzi appears on Kwa-Zulu. These guest appearances are placed across the album rather than grouped together, leaving several tracks credited solely to Ujikelele.

Further into the tracklist, Ngiyobabonga leads into Igwababa and Ngiyaphuma Ebafaneni, followed by Iqed'ukwenzani Lento. The album’s fourth listed collaboration comes with Uzanempi, featuring Mpilo Khumalo, before the closing stretch moves through Abafana Bama-Arbiter and Izono Zami.

The title track gives the album its clearest centre point, while Kwa-Zulu also carries a mix of longer and more compact song titles across its 12-song run. With appearances from Mzukulu, Umfana Wekhansela, Inyosi Magwiny’ imbuzi and Mpilo Khumalo, the release brings several recognised names into Ujikelele’s latest Maskandi offering.

Kwa-Zulu is available as a full album from Ujikelele, with the complete tracklist moving from Dear Soka Lami to Izono Zami. Maskandi listeners can explore the project in full and check out the collaborations along the way.
