Kuyophela siyofana

uMzingeli brings an eight-track Maskandi album to the 2026 release calendar with Kuyophela siyofana. Released on 13 October, the project keeps the focus firmly on the solo artist, with uMzingeli credited across every track on the album.

The tracklist opens with the title track, “Kuyophela siyofana”, before moving into “Asbalobole”, “Ama ex” and “Khuluma ubheka”. That opening run gives the album a clear start-to-finish shape, with each song adding to the full listening experience rather than relying on guest appearances.

The second half continues with “Juba lami”, “Mjolo wami”, “40 years” and “Isandla somuntu”. With eight songs in total, the album makes for a focused addition to the current Maskandi conversation and gives listeners a concise project to move through in one sitting.

Kuyophela siyofana is also notable for its entirely solo tracklist. There are no listed featured artists, keeping the release centred on uMzingeli from the opening song through to the closing “Isandla somuntu”.
