Zikhonkotha Ehambayo

Skhanga steps into 2026 with Zikhonkotha Ehambayo, an eight-track Maskandi album built around a mix of solo cuts and confirmed collaborations. The project carries the same title as its third track, placing “Zikhonkotha ehambayo” among a concise set of releases from the South African artist.

The album opens with “Thando lwathola kabi”, featuring kaMaphanga and Yolokazi, before moving into “Sine Pride” with Shenge Wasehlalankosi and MaGumede wenu. These opening collaborations give the tracklist an immediate focus, while the title track brings in Nzuzo wezihlabani for the project’s third song.

Shenge Wasehlalankosi appears again on “Ilegacy”, making it the only other featured appearance on the album alongside Nzuzo wezihlabani’s contribution to “Isakhamuzi sami”. That sixth track also includes Nkosazana Minnie, while Londeka Shangase joins Skhanga on “Bayathanda lokho”.

The solo entries give the album room to move beyond its collaborations. “Ike ngivuke ngiyozama” arrives as the fifth track, and Skhanga closes the project with “Ungavumi Ngawe” featuring Thembani. With its eight-song tracklist, Zikhonkotha Ehambayo keeps the focus on a compact Maskandi release with several familiar collaborative pairings across the album.
