Imikhonto

Nkeshemba’s six-track Maskandi EP Imikhonto arrives on 20 March 2026, introducing a compact project built around the artist’s own voice and songwriting catalogue. With no featured artists listed, the release keeps its focus on Nkeshemba across songs including “Sekuzolunga Mama”, “Emkhathini” and “Dr 3 Second”.

The title track, “Imikhonto”, sits at the centre of the project, while “Ama 2K” and “Usungikhombisile” complete the tracklist. Beyond the song titles and its Maskandi classification, no additional themes, so the EP is best approached as a focused introduction to Nkeshemba’s 2026 output rather than a release with an announced concept.

Its short format makes Imikhonto a straightforward entry point for listeners discovering Nkeshemba. Across six tracks, the EP presents a single-artist project without guest appearances or an extended tracklist, keeping attention on the material attached to the artist’s name.

For listeners exploring new Maskandi releases, Imikhonto offers a concise project to place on their radar when it arrives in 2026.
