Abasubathi

Lungani Khanyile steps forward with Abasubathi, a five-track Maskandi EP released on 24 September 2026. The compact project keeps the focus on the artist while bringing in two confirmed collaborators across its tracklist.

The EP opens with “Siphumelele kanjani”, featuring Ntobeko, before moving into the title track, “Abasubathi”. From there, Khanyile follows with “Uzophuma Kanjani”, keeping the early stretch of the release centred on his own name and the project’s core material.

“Njalo” adds a second collaboration, this time with Londeka Shangase, while the closing track, “Thathanliziyo”, returns to a solo credit for Lungani Khanyile. The two features sit within a concise tracklist rather than dominating the release, giving the EP a clear balance between solo songs and guest appearances.

For listeners exploring current Maskandi releases, Abasubathi offers a straightforward entry into Khanyile’s 2026 output. Its title track sits near the front of the sequence, while “Siphumelele kanjani” and “Njalo” bring Ntobeko and Londeka Shangase into the project at key points.
