About Obhuti bendawo
Obhuti Bendawo (also known as Abobhuti Bendawo) is a South African music group.
Founded in 2017 in Devland, Soweto, Johannesburg.
Originally formed as a trio of male singers (known by stage names such as Pondoman, Makarina, and Nayvee), the project also functions as a Maskandi/Gqom/fusion group featuring contributors and performers like Sge Ndabandaba and co-producer Mroza Fakude.
Their sound spans genres like Gqom, Amapiano, and Maskandi, releasing regular singles and albums.
Their stated mission is to put Johannesburg ("Jozi") music on the map.
Released the project Never Loses Power in October 2026 (including tracks like "Never Loses Power" and "Emlanjeni").
